The must see tourist attractions in Barcelona.
We are pleased to suggest our recommendations of the top Barcelona touristic attractions. With our guide you are sure that you’ve enjoyed your time to the fullest!
In a list like this, Las Ramblas cannot be missed. Barcelona´s famous pedestrian Street is a must see attraction. Despite the fact that it has a length of 1 km approximately, the most you will need several hours walking it down (or up!). We can guarantee that is a unique experience which you will enjoy repeating. In the weekend you can find many artists and painters at the lower part of Las Ramblas!
The Gothic Quarter (or Barrio Gótico) will offer you the experience of being in the center of Barcelona’s old city.
Despite several reforms which went through during the 19th and 20th century, most of the buildings go back to the Medieval period and some to the Roman settlement of the city. The Barri Gòtic has various small streets passing into typical Spanish squares.
As being the most visited monument in Barcelona, the sagrada familia is always worth a visit. This spectacular temple has welcomed over 3 millions visitors until now. The unfinished masterpiece of Gaudi will leave you speechless due to its architectural beauty. You will find many interesting architectural wonders
and lots of colors inside this cathedral.
Park Guell is situated in the Carmel´s hill where the city views are spectacular, this green complex will offer you several walking routes. Also you will find sculpture creations from stones, shaped columns inspired from nature, geometric shapes and colorful marble mosaics is the art work you could enjoy. Because of its location outside the city center and the high altitude, this park is a heaven of peace.
Nou Camp Stadium – FC Footbal Club experience
Another must see can not be else than the Nou Camp Stadium experience (Europe’s largest stadium, 11th largest of the world). A visit to the renovated museum or buying tickets for a Barcelona FC football match, will leave you excited and will convert you to great fans of FC Football Club. You can buy your tickets in advance online through the official page of FC Barcelona or at the stadium on the day of the match.
Words cannot describe the amazing scenery you will see while walking along the sea side in Barcelona. The beach has been converted to a place where tourists and locals hang around often, with street-musicians playing happy songs and the sun shining through the day. The best place to have a glass of wine with fresh fish and tapas or a paella can not be other than the Barceloneta neighborhood. In this neighborhood you can also find the famous champaneria, with great tapas and cava!
The Born area is an up-and-coming trendy area with stylish bars, cafés and restaurants that has an atmosphere uniquely of its own. El Born has old town architecture with a “new town” feel and it’s this combination that gives this area of Barcelona an irresistible appeal. Great arty streets and many well known cocktail or tapas bars to enjoy your evenings. This is where the locals spend their evenings!
This experience can last all day long! The hill which divides the city center from the industrial zone of Barcelona, which is worth a visit! It has numerous sights to visit. Among the various parks and gardens you can enjoy a walk to the castle where you have magnificent views to the city center, the harbor and the Mediterranean Sea. Then, passing by the installations of the Olympic Games you will find yourself in the National museum of the Catalan Art or the very promising Foundation of Juan Miro.
The Poble Español could be a nice choice as to have a quick view of the rich Spanish culture; where all different areas represent a different Spanish region. Last but not least and for the end of the day when you wish you could have some rest, nothing would be better than watching the spectacular show of Magic Fountain. This show is every Thursday until Sunday from 21:00-23:30!
Tibidabo can be considered as an adventure for children and older in Barcelona, particularly if they will choose the Tramvía Blue Trolley and then the funicular as their transportation means. The amusement park is quite old, but as we just said, going up to Tibidabo is quite the adventure. A nice option would be to climb up the hill trying out the same means, enter in Tibidabo’s amusement park and enjoy some of its attractions. Some are very impressing, as the plane ride or the ferries wheel, but as we believe the best of all at this amusement park in Tibidabo is the views you can have from the city of Barcelona, especially at the evening.
